Our necklaces were made using the ancient art of lost wax sculpting, the oldest method of jewellery making today. While factories have adopted some of these techniques to mass produce jewellery, there are significant differences in the way small artisanal brands like Venus Trine Mars use this age old method of crafting.

Every pendant in our store starts off sculped by hand, we use soft jewellers wax and slowly build up the piece while creating organic and intricate textures that simply cannot be replicated by machines.

Factory produced jewellery in the mass market use CAD (computer aided design) and a 3D printer simply prints the wax model - every line is mathematical and every piece is identical, producing jewellery that ends of looking sterile and souless.

Once our hand sculpted wax models are fired in a jewellers kiln, the result is gorgeous textures that still carry the artists mark. When you choose to shop with small artisanal brands like ours, not only will your new necklace stand out from the crowd, you're supporting a true art from that's been carried on through centuries of tradition.

If you prefer warm toned jewellery, choose between 18 carat yellow gold plate with a brass or silver base. If you enjoy cool tones then sterling silver is the option for you.

We use only the highest quality metals and our pieces are crafted with premium gold plating techniques that makes our necklaces nickel free.

Traditionally hand sculpted pieces crafted from jewellery artists are made in solid gold only. This means that the investment for a unique artisanal designs is significantly higher and can be in the thousands for just the metal alone.

We want our sculpted art to something that everyday women can wear, so we chose to use gold plated, gold vermeil and silver to ensure our jewellery is accessible to all.
